Happy 33rd Birthday!

I asked Matt what he wanted for his b-day, and he said he just wanted to go and do something with the family. Just about an hour from where we live are a bunch of indoor water parks and hotels. We decided to celebrate his birthday at the The Great Wolf Lodge. It was the best place in the world for our kids. It was perfect for their ages. Mckayla could ride every water slide there, and Isaiah could ride all but a couple. They had so much fun running from slide to slide. We stayed in the family room which included bunkbeds for the kids in their own little log cabin. They absolutely loved it. At night they have story time up by the front desk, where they wore their pj's. To end Matt's b-day we went to his parents house for dinner and cake. It was such a wonderful day. Matt's b-day was May 18th, he turned 33. Love you sweetie!!!

Wedding Bells!

Matt's sister Moncia got married on May 16th 2009. Mckayla and Isaiah were part of the wedding party. Matt's sister Natalie got married a year ago, and Mckayla got to be a flower girl for that wedding, and Grandma Hansen made all the dresses. For Monica's wedding they used the same dresses, but changed out the color of the sash to match Monica's colors. It was a beautiful day, and a wonderful ceremony. Congrats to Monica.

Here is some video of Seth, he decided that he was going to start walking at the wedding reception, and has been walking ever since. He had been taking maybe two or three steps, and that was it, but this night he was walking everywhere he has always wanted to go. It was all I could do to keep up.

This is Mckayla and Isaiah enjoying the dance with each other.

Mother's Day

My mom and dad sent me a Hawaiian Lei directly from Hawaii for Mother's day. Here I am sporting these beautiful flowers. They smelled so beautiful, and stood out quite a bit considering no one else had one of these. It was very fun to receive such a gift. Thank you Mom and Dad, I loved it!!

Field trip to the Police Dept.

Mckay's preschool class had a field trip to the police dept. They gave the class a tour of the police dept., and showed them what a police car looked like. I think this was a first time for this police officer to give a tour. He took the kids out and showed them his car, but didn't even let them take a look inside, and let them see all the fun functions that it has. He did get in the car and turn the sirens on, and about broke everybody's ear drums, but that was the extent of it. The chief police officer came in and asked all the kids if they had a chance to sit in the car, so that made me wonder if this was a first time tour for this particular officer. The kids enjoyed it just the same.

This is where he blew out everyone's ear drums. All the kids were covering up their ears, I was a little late on the camera shot, so most of the kids were no longer covering up their ears.

The officer was showing the kids that the cars and motorcycles come to them as just a regular motorcycle or car, and then they add all the sirens and other stuff needed to make it an offical police vehicle. They were working on this motorcycle that you see here.

It's a slumber party!!

Mckayla's preschool is always doing something fun for the kids. This night was a mommy-daughter nite-out. They had a slumber party, well not exactly a slumber party, but an evening doing something together. They had parents and children come in their pajama's, and had a lady come and sing songs and tell stories. Mckayla was so excited, and had a count down to the day of the activity. She was so excited to wear her pajama's to school. It was a good mommy-daughter moment.

Go Cavs!

Matt and I had the opportunity to go to the Cleveland Cavs game. It was the last one of the season, before the playoffs were to begin. Friends of ours had extra tickets, and invited us to go. It was fun to get a babysitter, and have a fun evening. Of course, Lebron James didn't play, of all the luck!! We had fun anyway. It was just nice to be together!
