Bumpin' în the sketchy white van

Bună bună!!

Highlights:
-We don't have really any solid people to teach right now so lots of finding this week! We had a couple of cool miracles...
-Ioana, we were going around asking gospel related questions, but ask we asked her, she notice the Books of Mormon in our hands. She then asks us if we are with the church with the Book of Mormon. (Usually a question like this doesn't end too well for us) She then told us that she has one at home, has been to church and knows one of our members!! She told us she wants to come again and gave her number to keep in touch!
-Viorica, we had great conversation with her about Jesus Christ and what he means to us. We shared with her the Book of Mormon and she wants to know more!!
-Made a program of activities for our Games Night this Summer, and started handing out flyers for it. People seem really receptive so hopefully we have a good turn out
-Went to Brașov this week to help with a service project there. We were in the mountains helping set up a camp. (Don't worry it only made me a little trunky) but it was super fun and they really needed our help!!

Funny:
-To get to the service project we got shuttled there in the jankiest van I've ever seen. 🚫 no seat belts 🚫 no leg room 🚫 no window, just a random piece of clear plastic, but on the drive we felt like we were going to girls camp so we had to sing a few songs to commemorate the occasion.
-Out street contacting we're walking through this park and all of sudden we hear "Sisters!!!" We turn and it's this old Domnul grinning at us with his buddies. We've had enough experiences like this to know to stay away. Then he goes, "I LOVE YOU!!! PLEASE!!!! PLEASE!!! I LOVE YOU!!" (All in english btw) so hey what can I say, I guess the Sora Hansen fan base is growing.

Gând Spiritual:
-This week I have had "How Great Thou Art" stuck in my head and man this song is just so good.
"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hands have made"

"And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in –
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin!"

"When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!"

"Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!"

I testify to that the Lord is great and does great works among us even today! And best part about Him is that even in His greatness, He yearns to have an individual, personal, relationship with and every one of us. He loves us. He loves you.

5/20/24

 Bună Bună!!

Highlights:
- Crazy busy week!!!
- About half our mission was in București for P-Day so we got to play sports all day and it kind of felt like elementary school field day, which was absolutely lit.
- Said good bye to an awesome group of missionaries!!
- Helped pick up the new boboci!!
- We had Elder Brent Nielson of the 70 came a nd spoke to our mission. His and Sister Nelson's talks were so good and so needed. The spirit in the room as they spoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
- Moved to Ploiești!! Luckily we have an awesome senior couple, the Frandsens, who took me and Sora McCombs home, so we didn't have to take a train
- The last few days in Ploiești have been so awesome. I got to meet most of the branch, do some streeting, and games night. All of us missionaries here have already hit it off and so the last few days have been super fun!!

Funny:
-Sora McCombs and I both a have alarms but they are very different. Hers is this super upbeat, fun, song and mine is this random classical Samsung alarm sound. They go off at the exactly the same time and create a lovely harmony that makes us laugh every morning.

Gând Spiritual:
We are not and never need be alone. We can press forward in our daily lives with heavenly help. Through the Savior’s Atonement we can receive capacity and “strength beyond [our] own”

mulțumesc bucurești

Bună bună!!!

Highlights:
- Sora Fowler exchange!! Went with the Surori from Panduri!! I got to exchange with Sora Brown and it was awesome! We tried to find some inactive members, but without success. But we did stumble upon a piață with lots of people so we did a few laps around there and had some awesome convos!!
- Did some service sorting clothes to be donated, and then got lunch after!! Super fun!
- Got to see Sora Isac one last time!
- Exchange with Sora Uryan!! It was a great day!! We did some park finding, discovered a place with acai bowls, taught an online lesson and went inactive member finding. That was awesome too cause one of the members was actually home!
-Finally got to see Sara again and that was so awesome!! She's the best 🥰
- Had a family we met at a service project a month ago come to Games Night! They were so fun and loved it!! They said they want to come again!

Not-so-Highlights:
- We have some people at games night that care just a little too much... (sometimes I'm guilty of that too😬) I was worried they might scare off the family, but the kids thought they were funny so haide!!

TRANSFER NEWS!!!!
- After 6 months in București I will now be heading too ... 🥁🥁🥁
PLOIEȘTI!!
With SORA MCCOMBS!!
Ploiești is only about an hour north of București (its the closest city to București that we have missionaries in) should be exciting!! I will move there on Friday.
Sora McCombs is also hilarious, so get ready for some top notch content in my emails.

Gând Spiritual:
3 Nephi 2
1) And it came to pass that thus passed away the ninety and fifth year also, and the people began to forget those signs and wonders which they had heard, and began to be less and less astonished at a sign or a wonder from heaven, insomuch that they began to be hard in their hearts, and blind in their minds, and began to disbelieve all which they had heard and seen

I love this reminder on how important it is to recognize and remember the Lord's hand in our lives. As we strive to we are able to his hand more, but as we forget to, we will see it less and less. I hope I can continue to be astonished with all the works of the Lord in my work!!

Labor day, Easter and Baptisms!!! What a week!

 Bună Bună!!!

Highlights:
-GRĂTAR!!! (Barbecue) First one of the season in the books!! It was Romanian labor day and we had both branches in Buc pulling up. It was quite the party, it was supposed to be for 3 hours and
ended up going on 6 😱 so fun!! I literally did not stop moving basically the whole time, between soccer, missionary tag, volleyball, basketball, Hora dancing, and the line dances, o had plenty to keep me busy.
- District activity!! Before the Barbecue even ended we all piled in the "Battle bus" with the Gibbons and road tripped out to Constanța! We stayed with the Surori there and partied hard!! Then the next day we had district council, lunch and made a fun video together!
-Exchange with Galați!! We drove back to buc and then had the sisters from Galați come in. I got to be with the Sora Eliason and it was such a party. We did our social media finding, found some homies on the street, got lunch, did some studies, had a bomb lesson, went to a nondemnotional easter concert, from there then headed to an orthodox service, and then to the gara so I could catch a train!! Craziness!!
-ARAD!!! Got to run it back with fiica mea preaiubită Sora Barnett!!!! 2 daughters from family we found together got baptized!! It was such an amazing experience, honestly one of the best days of my mission. The whole family was just so happy, and we got to see members and friends. 1000/10
-This Sunday was Easter Sunday for Romania and it was an awesome celebration! It was so cool to focus even more so on Christ this week.

Not-So-Highlights:
- Got roasted for some mistakes in my talk on Sunday 🫣

Funny:
-Sora Barnett and I rediscovering our old sayings and inside jokes 😂 we have way too many...

Gând Spiritual:
-"The most important day in the history of mankind was the day when Jesus Christ, the living Son of God, won the victory over death and sin for all of God’s children. And the most important day in your life and mine is the day when we learn to “behold the man”; when we see Him for who He truly is; when we partake with all our heart and mind of His atoning power; when with renewed enthusiasm and strength, we commit to follow Him"
- Elder Uchtdorf (April 2018)
