We have finally have a child who has lost her first tooth. Mckayla is getting so big, where has the time gone. Her two bottom teeth have been loose, and finally with enough playing and pulling she succeeded to shake it loose. She went for a ride with dad, and while stopped at the gas station it fell out. Needless to say she was ecstatic, and couldn't wait for the Tooth Fairy to come. Two weeks later her other bottom tooth fell out. We joked around with her that all she wanted for christmas was her two front teeth!

Christmas concert!
Mckayla's kindergarten class combined with two other classes performed in a christmas concert. They showed off all the songs that they have been learning in music class. They had the concert held at the high school, and also had it televised on the local tv station. Mckayla was very excited to perform, and sang her heart out. She shows no reservation while being up there. She did a great job!!

Parties, Parties, Parties!!!
Both Mckayla and Isaiah had birthday parties this year. Isaiah wanted a Knight party!! So we invited a few friends. They were the Knights of the round table, and one princess. I think Isaiah had a great time. After his friends arrived we played pin the sword on the Knight. After the game they each received their own sheild to decorate with stickers, and then we were off on an adventure for the King.
The king had lost his gold and needed the Knights and the princess to find it and return it back to him. We scattered fake gold coins all over the back yard, and when they found all they could they returned the gold back the treasure chest.
As part of the party favors they each got a sword. With the swords they got to fight the dragon(pinata).
We had two parties back to back, with 1 hour in between( just barely enough time to switch from a Knight party to a Barbie ballerina party). Not highly recommended. It was a little stressful, but when we were done, we were all done.

Mckayla had the Barbie ballerina party. Her party consisted of a lot more kids. I think 11 total. Anyway we started the party out with a craft. I found these make your own scrapebook kit that included stickers and two markers for 50 cents a kit. The girls loved it. They were so quite and intent working on their books.

We then played pin the crown on the princess, which I might say was a big hit. All the little girls loved this game.
We then played musical footsteps, where the girls twirled and danced from foot step to foot step, and when the music stopped they got a price. We then had relay races outside. They were divided into 2 teams and had jewels that they carried in a spoon and had to dance across the lawn without dropping their jewel in the grass, and placing their jewels in the bucket. The team with the most jewels won.
Mckayla also wanted a pinata, which all the girls pulled a string, and all the candy came out. It was very chaotic with so many little people but it was sure fun to see them all so happy.
When Mckayla opened her gifts, it was like a huge clump of little girls. Mckayla kept moving around the room to open her presents to try to get a breather, and they were all attached like glue. It was really quite comical. Kids are so funny. Next was cake time. Mckayla ordered the Barbie diamond castle cake, only b/c the Barbie ballerina cake was not available.
All in all I think the kids had a really great day!!!

Battle wound!
Seth has become Mr. Climber. He is not afraid of anything, which puts mom in a bad spot. One must keep a very close eye on him! Seth received his first real battle wound of life. The day before Thanksgiving we spent our morning in the emergency room, due to Seth's new scaling skills. I had just gave Isaiah a nice bowl of watermelon, when I heard the end of the world cries from Mckayla, who was upstairs. Leaving the two boys alone, not thinking about Seth's new climbing skills, I ran upstairs to assist Mckay. Maybe a minute goes by, and I hear "No Seth", and then a big thud, and then the death cry. I race downstairs, and find Isaiah hugging Seth, and Seth bleeding profusely right above his left eye. Isaiah's version of the story is, "Seth climbed up on top of the counter, and was trying to eat Isaiah's watermelon. Isaiah tries to bat Seth off, and in the process causes Seth to lose his balance, and cause him to fall head first into the stool and floor below". Lucky for us no stitches were needed, SUPER GLUE is what saved the day. Who knew that in our day super glue would be such saving grace. After all this you would think that Seth would learn his lesson, but noooo! As soon as we got home from the emergency, Seth climbed right back up to the counter. Like I said he has no fear!

Six going on Sixteen!!
Mckayla just recently turned six. She has been waiting for this blessed day to arrive. She was so excited to have her birthday. When the day came, a special breakfast awaited her. Daddy had gotten up at 5:30 in the morning, and went to the doughnut shop so that she could have a doughnut for her birthday breakfast. For those that do not know, Mckayla was born on mom's birthday. So not only was dad getting doughnuts for her, but for mom as well. I am quite impressed that Matt was able to sneak out of the bedroom without me noticing. I am a pretty light sleeper, so it was quite a feet for Matt to accomplish this suprise.
After kindergarten, Mckayla wanted to go to Mcdonald's for lunch, and do what we did with Isaiah the week before. So we packed all the gifts, and cupcakes for the big celebration.
This birthday has been really special, because Grandma Ryan came out to celebrate all our birthdays with us. We had so much fun spending time with her.
Here is Mckay opening her birthday gifts!
If you haven't notice Mckayla absolutely loves the Disney princess's, and is always wanting to dress up like them. Since last christmas she has been asking for the Belle dress. She finally got her wish. Of course it is not complete unless you have the crown, wand & shoes.
After opening her gifts she blew out her candle.
Here is Mckay modeling her new dress!
Later that evening Mckay had dance class, then we let her pick out a movie at the video store, and her and Isaiah got to lay on mom & dad's bed to watch the show.
Here are the birthday girls!
Tid bits about Mckayla. She is very creative. Daily she asks me to do a craft, paint or draw. I can barely keep up with her, especially since I lack on the creative side. I see so much of my mom in her. They are like two peas in a pod. In fact, while my mom was here visiting the two of them spent hours doing crafts together. Mckayla was in heaven! Mckalya loves to dress up. She loves to beautify herself, and then look at herself in the mirror. Oh boy, I think we are in trouble. She is all girl. She loves to wear make-up, and paint her finger and toe nails. She is also in to Barbie. This fall she found that she loves playing soccer. She really did well, and enjoyed learning a new sport. She also loves swimming. She is definitely a fish when it comes to swimming. I love this little girls heart. She really does try to do what is right. She is always thinking and pondering what we have taught, and really tries to implement it all. She is such a good big sister, and loves her brothers unconditionally. She is a good helper, and example to all around her. I feel so blessed to have her in my home, and to watch her grow. She blesses my life on a daily basis, and I am so thankful for her.
Happy Birthday Mckay!!

Hallowen 2009
Halloween this year was very fun. All the kids were definitely more into it, even Seth. Mckayla wanted to be a princess once again, and this year she chose Belle. Isaiah he still wanted to be a Knight, even though he was one last year. He received another Knight costume for his b-day, so we combined his costume from last year, with his new costume that he got this year. Seth he was the cutest Winne the Pooh ever. Matt took the kids around the neighborhood, while I stayed home and passed out the candy. He said, Seth was completely into going up to each door, and see candy put into his pumpkin. By the end of the night his pumpkin got so heavy that he tripped over it and scraped his little nose, but that didn't seem to phase him much, as he did not want to miss out on getting his candy.

Isaiah got to dress up for his pre-school class, and have a parade there. This is him with his class!

Of course Mckayla's school also had a class party, and a school parade. I think she really enjoyed walking around showing all the kids in her school her costume, but I also think she really enjoyed seeing all of her friends in their costumes too.

Isaiah turns FOUR!!!
Isaiah, my little night in shining armor, turned four. I can't believe he is getting so big. He is such an amazing kid. He brightens my day, everyday. He absolutely loves life, and loves to laugh. He is always teasing Mckayla & Seth, just so he can laugh. I have a feeling he is going to be a little jokester when he is in school, but he also has a sensitive side as well. At times his sensitive side can take his toll on me (crying because I looked at him with those eyes that say I am not very happy with what he has just done, or crying because I sit him in time out). Matt says things like " We need to toughen him up, he is a boy!" I love that he has this soft side, and I hope he stays this gentle and sweet when he is all grown up. Most of all I love that he is a mommy's boy. I know that is bad, but deep down inside I hope that he never lets go of that. He loves to snuggle me, be by me, he loves to do everything with mom, except cheer for the Utah State Aggies. He reserves that for Dad. Go bucks is what he always tells me. He is a buckeye fan thru & thru, and I can guarentee he has no idea what that means. He just loves the bucks, because dad does.
Isaiah loves anything that deals with a Knight, mainly a sword. He has now aquired at least six or more swords, and is always asking for more whenever we are at the store. He loves the color red, because that is what color the buckeyes are (go figure). He loves candy, and asks me at least once a day "mommy can I have a candy for being so good". His favorite candies are skittles & m&m's. He loves to watch TV, and I truly have to ration TV, because he could watch it most of the day. Of course he loves any show that has a sword in it. He also loves the book of mormon stories, especially the ones with swords in it. His favorite food is Taco's. We had a conversation the other day that went as follows:
Isaiah- "Mom do you think we could go to Taco Bell today?"
Mom- "Maybe, I guess we can."
We get to the drive up and he says "did you order me the taco mom?"
I say "yes I did mister".
He then says, "mom you can call me MISTER TACO, because I love taco's so much!"
I love this little boy! He loves to be a big brother, and helps keep an eye on his little brother Seth. He absolutely loves his big sister, and is always wanting to be wherever she is. He is your typical boy, he loves to run, play outside, jump on the tramp, swim, and sword fight!
Here are pictures of his special day.
Here's the birthday boy!
Mckayla giving him his birthday card!
Isaiah showing his b-day card.
Isaiah chose to have lunch at Chic-fi-le so they could play in the play area. We celebrated his b-day at lunch b/c dad was going to have to work late. So Isaiah opened his gifts and blew out his candle at lunch.

We were so lucky that Grandma Ryan came out to celebrate all the birthday's with us. Here is the whole gang.
Happy 4th birthday Isaiah!
