 Bună bună!!

Highlights:

-Last district dinner of the transfer!!

-Valentines Day!! Had lunch at the Verdeața's and somehow Rebecca beat me at tic tac toe again (I lost 22-4). Then later that night Sora Wolsey and I threw our Galentines Party and it was a success!! We had 30 people show up and 3 of our friends there!!! It was so fun!! 

-We had our district activity and our original plan hit some bumps so we ended up putting together plates with the leftover treats from our Valentine's party and delivering them to members! 

-Had an exchange with Sora Hardy and it was super fun!! We had two member meals and one new member lesson! I didn't really know Sora Hardy too well so it was awesome to get to know her better.

-Had another member Saturday and it was pretty good except we got absolutely stuffed. And then at the end they pulled out this big ole chocolate cake practically dripping with rum. It tasted like the dentist office smells.

-also got transfer calls and I am going to be serving with Sora Stark here in București!! I'm so excited I think we're going to have a lot of fun!!

Funny:

-Also at this member meal we were all sitting at this table with a giant TV behind our members with the tabernacle choir playing. Things were good but then all of the sudden we hear this super high voice coming from the TV, I look over expecting to see lady and it's an older man singing higher pitches than I've even attempted in my life. We all couldn't keep in the laughs and soon the Members caught on and joined in. It was awesome.

Warm February days

 Bună Bună!!

Highlights:

- This week was so warm, like springtime 60 degrees and it has been absolutely amazing. Lots of outside studies and finding because of it!

-Exchanges with Sora Fowler!! Went to Braşov on Wednesday and we exchanged with the other sisters in our branch on Thursday. Both absolutely awesome exchanges I got to be with Sora Ballard and Sora Reynolds. Literally love them, super fun.

-Full exchange with Sora Day on Friday. It was a solid day. We got to dust off our park finding skills. Had a lesson with Sara. Met up with some homies at a public speaking event. Plus Sora Day is absolutely amazing. She is truly one of the kindest people ive ever met. We had a great time talking and laughing all day.

-Had a funeral at the Hyers on Saturday for our dear Sora Wolsey (😭) I can't believe shes already leaving so soon!

-Had another lesson with our friend Alex and it went great!! He is so geniune and interested in everything we have to say. We also invited him to church and a baptism Sunday and he came to both!! So awesome!!

Not-so-Highlights:

-had all our plans cancel on us Thursday afternoon. But turned out to be good cause we had some major prepping for our Valentines party this week!

Be still and know that I am God.

Sometimes it can be scary to turn our will over to God. Because then it might mean we will have to let of some wants and desires. But I know that as we do this we will find peace. God knows us. He knows our wants and desires but he also knows what is best for us, and his plan for us is more amazing than we can ever know. As we turn everything over to him, our stresses, doubts, fears, and even our very souls will be stilled.

 Bună Bună!

Highlights:

-Had a great member lesson with our friend Maria! She was worried about having friends at church, but really liked Sora Isac! (Bless up!!!) 

-Met up with our boy Ianis to talk more about baptism!! He always has really great questions, better than most of our friends (despite the fact that he is 8 years old). After our lesson, he said to us, "I didnt realize that baptism meant that much".  I am so glad he understands what baptism truly means and is super excited for his!

-Had a lesson with our friend, Alex, who was a self-referral for the Book of Mormon. It was one of the most sincere lessons I have ever had. He was so genuinely interested and had great questions. He did his own research before (which can be scary for us missionaries) but it just sparked other questions for him, like what the pearl of great price and doctrine and covenants are, what's the difference between temples and churches, and can he get baptized as a romanian if he believes (we very happily answered yes to that one). Overall it was great lesson and Alex just expressed how much he already loves our church and is excited to meet again! (We're excited too!)

-Met with our friend Sara!! She had lots of great questions!! We had an awesome discussion with her, and she asked how she can live as though she made covenants with God before she makes them. (She can't get baptized at the moment). She is such a great example to me of faith, and just a light! I seriously just love her to pieces!!!

-Zone conference week!! It such a spiritually uplifting experience! The theme was "Change through the Atonement of Jesus Christ". I loved spending time studying this. My favorite part had to be though, at the end we had a testimony meeting where missionaries could share how they had been changed by Jesus Christ. I was so overwhelmed with the spirit hearing those testimonies. It's times like these that really remind me of the pure joy this gospel brings. Plus speaking of joy... I got to see all the homies this week too!! Which is always the absolute best and a highlight for sure. 

Funny:

-Ok so Sora Wolsey and I were going to park our car, and usually we park it at the church, but this time we decided to park it closer to our apartment building because we had to go to Zone Conference the next morning early. We are pulling up and all of sudden Sora Wolsey gets really excited and says "oh sweet! a parking spot!!" I get excited too and start looking around but cant see any open space... right then I feel a bump as we are hopping the curb to park on the sidewalk. Everyone here parks on the sidewalk and so it was in fact a spot but it had caught me by surprise. We serioiusly laughed about for probably like 15 minutes straight haha. 

Ok so you might be wondering what my subject line means/is referring too... Well it means "I can't believe it...' and well I seriously can't believe it. Tomorrow I hit my year mark as a missionary!!!!! 🤯 nu se poate. I am thankful for the time I've had this week to ponder on the ways I've changed in this year.
