Bună bună!!

Highlights:
- Zone conference!! It was an amazing conference. I wrote down pages of notes and we have been trying implement what we learned into our work this week. We also had the og squad there: Sora Dabo, Sora Reynolds and Sora Post. Ughh it was so fun to all be together again!
- We got to have a member meal with an older lady în our branch, Sora Banița! She fed us some banger soup and cabbage. And she also was so hilarious and had me cracking up the whole time! She also wants to teach us how to .are sarmele! I'm so excited!!
- We also went to visit our friend Viorica in the hospital. When we went she was so excited, and told us all her family is too far to visit so it meant so much that we came. There were also another few ladies in her room that were delighted to have guests. It was so glad we went ☺️
- We had another member meal with a younger couple în our branch, Nikki and Radu. It was so good. We had tacos and rootbeer floats!!
- We also are still progressing with our little friend Bianca!! We taught her the plan of salvation and it went really well! We also went to get her and take her to church and she told us on the way that she was keeping her commitment to read the Book of Mormon!!
- We were supposed to have sport night Saturday but got rained on. So we set up a volleyball net inside and it was super fun!

Not-so-Highlights:
- Church is hectic and it's just hard when our best and honest efforts don't meet all expectations of the members! But it's all good they will just have to make due with us 😉

Gând Spiritual:
"Personal testimony is the factor which turns people around in their living as they come into this Church. This is the element which motivates the membership to forsake all in the service of the Lord...It is of the very essence of this work. It is what is moving the work of the Lord forward across the world. It impels to action. It demands that we do what we are asked to do. It brings with it the assurance that life is purposeful, that some things are of far greater importance than others, that we are on an eternal journey, that we are answerable unto God"
- President Gordon B Hinckley

Ziua Copiilor

 Bună bună!!

Highlights:
- Started off the week strong visiting one of our members, Alex. We went with the senior couple here, The Frandsens and it was a good time!!
-One day we decided to take a different finding route than usual. And well I understand why our usual route is our usually route. There was practically no one în sight. So after going for bit we decided to go knock a block. And when we did we met Maria! She's 14 and we were to explain to her our purpose and give her a Book of Mormon. We're hoping to meet with her soon.
- The Elders here just recently baptized a 12 year old boy from an inactive family, and this week we got to meet his 8 year-old sister, Bianca, who also wants to be baptized!! We met with her and talked about baptism, asked if we could teach her the lessons, and she was all for it. Then she came to games night and she came to church (even though her brother didn't) We got to teach her the Restoration during 2nd hour. Bianca is so smart and already has been sharing with us the changes and experiences shes seen in her brother since his baptism. We are so so excited for Bianca, please keep her in your prayers!!
- Got to have an after baptism lesson with Teo about the temple!! Exciting!!
- We had a special games night this week. Here Romania they have a holiday on June 1st called "Ziua Copiilor" or Kids Day. Basically what it means is that every kid has a second birthday on this day and families go out together and do activities. Since it fell on Saturday, we decided our games night would be celebrating that. We did some minute to win it games, musical chairs, volleyball, and had prizes for the kids. We had a good turn out too and I think all the kids had a good time.
-The other day we only had a 30 minute block to street, but we ended up meeting Nicoleta! She was open and accepted the Book of Mormon. We got her number and want to try and meet with her this week!
-General highlight has just been ballin it up with Sora McCombs. We have had a lot of finding these last few weeks, but going with her has been so fun! We also already have so many inside jokes and troll each other 24/7, but yeah good times haha.

Not-so-Highlights:
-Addresses and records are two things that just always have problems here in Romania. So when we had to find Alex's address in our records, we should of know it would be an adventure. We got the address and headed to the visit. After about a 40 minute walk we get to the supposed address but can't find it anywhere. So we call the Frandsens and turns out we were on the literal opposite side of town. 🤦‍♀️ Luckily though they picked us up and we were still able to make the visit.

Gând Spiritual:
"Through Christlike love for others, we preach the glorious, life-transforming properties of Christ’s gospel, and we participate significantly in the fulfilling of His great commission"
- Elder Gary E. Stevenson

It really is that simple. I feel like I easily complicate things. Just love people. Do what Jesus would do. That's all we are asked. It doesn't mean it easy. But it is that simple.

Vă iubesc!!

Bumpin' în the sketchy white van

Bună bună!!

Highlights:
-We don't have really any solid people to teach right now so lots of finding this week! We had a couple of cool miracles...
-Ioana, we were going around asking gospel related questions, but ask we asked her, she notice the Books of Mormon in our hands. She then asks us if we are with the church with the Book of Mormon. (Usually a question like this doesn't end too well for us) She then told us that she has one at home, has been to church and knows one of our members!! She told us she wants to come again and gave her number to keep in touch!
-Viorica, we had great conversation with her about Jesus Christ and what he means to us. We shared with her the Book of Mormon and she wants to know more!!
-Made a program of activities for our Games Night this Summer, and started handing out flyers for it. People seem really receptive so hopefully we have a good turn out
-Went to Brașov this week to help with a service project there. We were in the mountains helping set up a camp. (Don't worry it only made me a little trunky) but it was super fun and they really needed our help!!

Funny:
-To get to the service project we got shuttled there in the jankiest van I've ever seen. 🚫 no seat belts 🚫 no leg room 🚫 no window, just a random piece of clear plastic, but on the drive we felt like we were going to girls camp so we had to sing a few songs to commemorate the occasion.
-Out street contacting we're walking through this park and all of sudden we hear "Sisters!!!" We turn and it's this old Domnul grinning at us with his buddies. We've had enough experiences like this to know to stay away. Then he goes, "I LOVE YOU!!! PLEASE!!!! PLEASE!!! I LOVE YOU!!" (All in english btw) so hey what can I say, I guess the Sora Hansen fan base is growing.

Gând Spiritual:
-This week I have had "How Great Thou Art" stuck in my head and man this song is just so good.
"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hands have made"

"And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in –
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin!"

"When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!"

"Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee;
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!"

I testify to that the Lord is great and does great works among us even today! And best part about Him is that even in His greatness, He yearns to have an individual, personal, relationship with and every one of us. He loves us. He loves you.

Și vă iubesc!!

Sora Hansen
