Sandy beaches, Ocean waves, Great friends = GREAT VACATION

Last year right before we moved from Georgia, we went on a weekend excursion to the mountains with our friends. We had so much fun, that we said we should do this every year. We told them we were serious about it, and that we would make the trip, if they wanted to do it again. Everyone was up for doing it again, but this time we decided to go to the beach. DESTIN, Florida. Can I just say Awesome Vacation!!! I have never swam in the ocean, so for me this was something I was really looking forward too.

We stayed in this 7 bedroom villa, 1/2 block from the beach. They also had a swimming pool 2 houses down from us. I have never seen such white sand and beautiful water. We had perfect weather, I don't think we could have asked for a better time (ok maybe we could have stayed there longer), but that was the only change.

We had so much fun, reconnecting with our friends (Cheeks, Homans, & Tumlins). The first night there, the kids played upstairs, while the adults played games downstairs. The second night the guys watched the kiddos, while the girls set out on a girls night out (too bad we were all so tired, but still had fun at a round of miniature golf, and some yummy custard). The third night the girls watched the kids and the boys went out for a boys night out. Ours days were filled with playing at the beach, and at the swimming pool. I can't wait to do it again next year!!

Here are some ocean critters that we encountered. The boys went crap digging, and found this pour thing. Mckayla was really brave to hold it for 2 seconds so I could take a pic, but I wonder if this caused her recent nightmare that had craps in it. We also saw a jelly fish that washed up on shore.
