Bună bună!!
Highlights:
- Finally met up with our Ioana this week! We were able to find out where she's at and we are hoping to keep working with her!!
- Had a lesson with Bianca this week, and her mom who's back from Italy!! The discussion went in 10 billion places, but we were able to round it back and actually teach. All in all good!!
- Had a super cool miracle! One day we were at the church and this girl just walks in. She is in her 20s and tells us that she's been coming to our english since was 12 but hasn't since covid. Now she wants to come back!! She is also super fun and made games night so fun!!
- We decided to surprise visit/heart attack some members, and the first one we went too was so sweet. She let us in sat us down, talked to us for a bit, and then broke down crying. Apparently she had been praying that someone would come visit her all day, and we were an answer to her prayer! 🥹 We were also with the Frandsens so Elder Frandsens offered her a blessing and I had the opportunity to translate it, which was a super cool experience.
- The Fowlers came and visited us in Ploiești. It was super fun getting the opportunity to work with them a bit.
- This pday was awesome!! We hiked this mountain called Bușteni!! It was much longer than expected and I don't know if I'll ever do it again, but I'm Glas I did!
Funny:
- We were calling Ioana the morning of our appointment, and she was super confused and didn't seem to know what we were talking about. But told us she would love to meet later than we had scheduled and that she would call and let us know. It was kind of weird cause we had just barely set up our appointment with her the night before, but we didn't question it and just went about our day. About 10 minutes later we get a call from Ioana, and she was wondering if we were still meeting at the original time... and that's when we realized we called the wrong Ioana 😱 The other one was from our english class and we had just barely gotten her number!! We met with Ioana (our friend) and then after other Ioana called expecting us to come over too! So we ended up meeting with our Ioanas that day haha.
Gând Spiritual:
I read this general conference talk this week, Ripples, by Sister Virginia U. Jensen. And though the message was directed at women I loved the truths it shares.
"Virtue and power are found in everyday, ordinary work, in all the daily tasks of caring for our families, and in our regular service to others."
"The cause of Christ—to redeem all souls—needs your strength, time, and talents in your homes and in your communities. Your faithful works and words contribute significantly to the building of this, the kingdom of God on the earth."
No matter where you are or what you are called to do, we all have opportunities everyday to change people's lives. It might seem small and insignificant, but as Sister Jensen explains in her talk, even the smallest pebble cause ripples throughout the lake.
The Lord sees and recognizes your efforts to be better and to draw closer to him! Do not be discouraged by what can or cannot see. Keep going. We need your efforts!!
Vă Iubesc!!
