🎄Merry Christmas🎁

 Merry Christmas everyone,

I haven't been able to send an email in 2 weeks because we had the Dam Christmas Zone conference. haha and by that I mean we had Christmas at a Dam. I got to return to Khon Kaen after only being gone like a week. We had a great Zone conference on Wednesday. Wednesday was the first time since visa work that I got to see my MTC district. Sooo chill to be able to talk to all of them again and get flicked up. We had a super spiritual zone conference, followed up by a talent show. Honestly a lil better than I thought considering there weren't any props or things to use. The end of the day we had white elephant. Our max was 100 baht which made it a lil hard. I ended up just grabbing a piggie bank and then throwing in a bunch of the 25% and 50% baht coins. I got away with a pacoma tho which is like one of the little thai fabrics we wear around our waist. Then we finished off the night with a nativity. A lil scuffed because we were in a parking lot.
Next day we had Zone Pday, sooo fire. We played a bunch of Ultimate Frisbee and I also got in a little spikeball. Sadly there was no basketball courts for this Pday, we did get to go to a Thai Buddhist temple tho before we went back to our areas. Sadly I might've gone to it like 3 weeks ago for our last pday in Khon Kaen haha
For a little more spiritual experience this week, we had a cool find with this guy named Conran. We were finding at the walking street and we said hi to this ฝรั่ง. We started up a conversation with him and he liked a lot of our beliefs. When we shared about the Book of Mormon with him, he talked about how his dad wasn't part of our church  but that he had always believed Joseph Smith was a prophet. He was very happy to see we don't really use crosses scripture or churches because, his words, "I like to focus more on the ascension of Jesus  Christ". He also doesn't believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are the same person. After a great conversation with him we were able to meet up with him again the day after and teach him before he goes off to Laos. This was a super cool miracle and even though we are sending him to missionaries in the UK I hope he's able to change his life after this. He was very interested in making changes to his life.

Overall, it's pretty weird I've been gone for a whole year and this is my 2nd Christmas as a missionary. I'm on the downward slope now though so by next year I'll be celebrating Christmas at home again. I've been super blessed to be back near my greenie area for Christmas time though, and thankfully here it's actually kinda cold and they have up a lot of Christmas  stuff.

I love you all so much and I hope you all have an amazing Christmas. I'm so grateful for this time to Focus on the  Savior  and help others feel his love.

A Lonely Child

 Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long wait. My poor son is being abandoned already. I'm am on my way to Nakhon Panom and I'm leaving him to fight for himself in Khon Kaen.
Haha, he has a stepdad  to look after him though, so he'll prolly survive.
These last two weeks have been pretty crazy. We've had a lot of different things happen but I don't have my journal so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to remember haha

First thing, last Pday I didn't get the chance to send an email because we went vacationing with Sister Eggo. We rented a Song Teo (Which is like a big truck with a long back with two rows of seats to sit on) And then we went to this Buddhist Temple with this massive Buddha tha's on top of a mountain. The view was so pretty. After that we went to this resturauant with hammocks and a cool view of this massive lake. I'm gonna have a good opportunity to see it at the Dam next week when we have the Christmas Zone Conference next week. After that we went to the National Park that's got another crazy view with all these crazy rocks. One of them had a wild name, imma put it in Thai, หำตั้ง. If you wanna know view at your own discretion. Sadly was not able to climb it or it would've been a fire flick.  We finished off by coming back to the church and having our In Person district conference.

Other than that nothing too crazy happened last week, we had some fire appointments with our investiagors. We've been blessed these past few weeks with some really good referrals that we've been able to teach at the church.

Since this was my last sunday I also had the opportunity to be a speaker. I invited all of our friends to come on time to hear me speak. Some told us it was too early and wouldn't be able to come but Saturday night I had a solid confirmation from 7 to 8 people that they would be free and be coming to church. The big moment, and Sadly came through with just 1.
At least one person got to hear my talk though 🥰

Then, this last week I finally got transfer news that I was moving. Had to have one final dinner with the members and friends. Khon Kaen has truly been such a blessed area. I'm so grateful for the 4 months that I was able to have here. Khon Kaen has a special place in my heart and it actually like feels weird to move now after being in the same place for so long. I've  been blessed to have some goated comps here, my son will have to carry on the area in my name  ✊🏿

Sorry I haven't written any fun stories, I'm a lil tired and can't do them what they deserve.

For my Spiritual Thought tho I just want to talk about living in the moment. While I've been training I've been hit with some crazy nostalgia from when I was a greenie, helped me realize that I ain't gonna be here forever. I've like lowk already been in Thailand for a year and I got less than a year to make most of the time that I got. Really tho thats true for whatever point of our life that we're in. I'm only gonna have this opporunity for a little bit so better make the most of it.

Hope that's like somewhat understandable🙏🙏 I'm a little tired.

Love you all so much, Thanks for supporting me,

Chlling

Aight we been at it this week.

Had my sons first exchange which was pretty chill. Went to Chaiyaphum, I finally had a chance to exchange with Elder tupuo. I served around him back  when I was a greenie in Sakon Nakhon, crazy how far we come now. And, it was Thanksgiving!!!!!
But yea I'll give a quick rundown of our week and then imma have to go to bed.

Tuesday we had a baller Language Class. We got to meet Jew's new boyfriend Ten. He seems pretty chill. Some people were kind of busy this week since there's a massive festival happening here  in Khon Kaen this week.

Wednesday was a pretty hard day. We had a lot of time for finding, but I was lowk kinda sick this whole week and it hit especially hard this day. We did meet this chill guy who will hopefully keep praying but we'll see how it goes. It's convient to stop by his barber shop on the way to church. Then we had the Thanksgiving activity. Only thing was that there was like nothing planned for it because they only decided to do it this last sunday. We still  had some investigators show up though, so it wasn't too bad. I was like dead tired when we got home though.

Thursday was exchanges in Chaiyaphum during Thanksgiving. That was pretty fun. Running it with Elder Tupuo was lit. Got in a lot of finding, I was kinda still sick from the day before though. We did get to have some gas burgers for dinner so that was nice.

Friday had a lil travel back and then some finding before we had sports night at 6:00. Saturday we had some service at our Branch President's house which is always good. Also teaching his son a little bit before he's baptized in February. Don't think it's technically required but it's good for him and there's another kid that does need to learn with the sisters so it works out well to have him learning with us as well to motivate this other kid. We also got to teach P Ging for the first time. We went to her house with Brother boy and had lunch. Then read through the introduction of the BOM and were able to answer some of her  questions and also teach like a full Restoration Lesson. Normally that's kinda hard to do on a first teaching but she had a really good christian background.

Sunday, Sadly none of our investigators were really free or just didn't come. Last second  P ging messaged us and let us know how she had urgent business come up but that she will def make  it next week. As for everyone else, I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

Today was just a chill Pday  of some Sizzler, Swensons, Silk Market shopping, and finishing off with some basketball finding at a park. Overall pretty lit, next week should be chill though cuz we're gonna be renting a SongTeo with the Chaiyaphum elders and Sisters here and are gonna go to some cool places.

Thats about it, Love you all So much. I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving and our now getting in the Christmas Spirit.

Udon's Litt

 What's up everyone,

This week was pretty lit. Sorry I haven't sent an email in a sec. Last week was zone conference so we didn't have a Pday on Monday and I was lowk fried after Zone Pday.

Elders Clark's first weeks have been pretty packed since the fire. We still haven't had all the damage cleaned. We're finally having them come in tomorrow hopefully 🙏🙏
Guess we'll see for sure. These past 2 weeks have been pretty fun though. 2 Sundays ago we had some of our friends come to church for the first time which was pretty awesome. In follow up to that we went and watched her son UK play some basketball at 5pm. It reminded of me of when my I used to go watch my brother play basketall because I can distinctly recall this one time that my brothers team was playing against another team when they were only like 10 or 11 and they just had these 2 kids that were insanely tall. Not even that good at basketball but when your that tall at that age it doesn't make too much of a difference. My uncle's nickname of the Twin Towers seemed pretty fitting. Fast-Forward to now and I'm watching these short 10-11 year old thai kids playing against this 10-11 year old kid that is legit a good 2 or 3 inches taller than me. Actually not even a game, it was legit just a slaughter. They also had this chick that wasn't quite as tall as he was, but she was also a good head taller than anyone on their team so needless to say that game wasn't nearly as interesting.

Then following this crazy sequence, we saw an ELEPHANT. I guess some guy was just walking his elephant in the middle of thialand. I haven't seen an elephant in a hot sec, but now I guess it was summoned since elder clarks only been here a lil.

Then that Monday we had my first wild goose chase of the mission. I get a call Sunday night from some Edlers in bangkok asking me if we could meet with one of their French investigators while he's vacationing in Khon Kaen cuz he only just met with missionaries again and he wanted to meet up while he was gone too. Sooooo, I give Benny a call and I'm like "Yo whats up this is the missionaries in Khon Kaen, we heard you want to meet up." He didn't have the most perfect English so he had trouble describing how we could meet up but we ended up settling on Mcdonalds. Keep in mind there are only 3 Mcdonalds in Khon Kaen. I ruled out one of them and I thought I understood his description of the one by him so we set the time for 11. Then 11 the next day we go and he's not there so I call him again (Keep in mind he only has a number or I could just have him send me a location) He says he's in front of the Mcdonalds right now. So I figure, well there's only one other mcdonalds in Khon kaen that it could be so lets head there. By the time we get there he's figured out how the messaging works but he's not at this mcdonalds either. I ask him to send me the name of his hotel. I get the photo of the hotel he's at and it's a frickin hotel in Pattaya. Bro was litteraly at a beachside Mcdonalds in Jong Kaen, Pattaya. Buttttt like idk how the frick Jong kaen got confused with Khon Kaen like bruh just say your going to freakin Pattaya and you can see the ocean. Sooo yea, that wasted a good hour and a half of our time biking around the city trying to meet this guy but at least we got Mcdees for lunch.

And then, Finally, we had Zone Conference. It was soooo fun. I gotta play a bunch of basketball and I alos got to play a lil bit of spikeball because my ZL has got a net. It's actually way too fun. I'm a lil rusty though. Follow that up with our finding activity and I got to go with our AP Elder Elliot. I gotta exchange with him back when I was in Kalasin. We had an amazing lesson about God's love for us and challenges in our life with this guy named Sugar. We went neighborhood finding and just happened upon his house. He'd been to the church like  8 or 9 years ago but he hadn't really learned with the missionaries. After our lesson he said he would pray and he was interested in giong to church that Sunday as well.

Overall it's been a pretty fire first weeks of the transfer. Hopefully we can keep up with all of our refferals and new members. Today I gotta play some more pickleball and yea pickleball is way too fun, definitely gotta enjoy it while I got it here in Khon Kaen. Also got some gas unlimited sushi for thanksgiving today since we gonna be gone on exchanges this thursday.

Sorry for the 2 week dump, but I love all you a bunch.

My spiritual thought for this week is a statement from Zone Conference that stuck with me.

One of the things commented on in a Training I think by president or Sister Kanyaphan was that "If your friend is sitting with a missionary they're sitting alone." Cuz sometimes we have friends come in late or other things where usually one of us will end up going over and sitting with them cuz we don't want them to sit alone. Which is better than them sitting alone, but like in the long run we gonna move and then who are they gonna be able to sit by then. Soo, even for investigators who come late, if we can find a way to set up a member for them that's def the way to go. 👍
I love you all so much though and I hope you all keep up on your Daily prayers and scripture study. I know heavenly father directs us as we look to him in our struggles.

Lights, Training, Explosion 💣💥

 Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven't wrote in a sec. I haven't had a lot of time. Cause I've been busy.

To start out, though, thankfully, we were able to have ลอย กระทง.  The second biggest holiday in Thailand there were so many lights, it was so cool. Khon kaen is one of the biggest places for this holiday so I was super happy. I got to see it at least once before I go home. Not.\n Sure exactly why we were allowed to celebrate cause we're still mourning the Queen, but I'm a little bit happier that we were able to have some fun.

Before this holiday, we also had Halloween, we did a Halloween activity at the church and it was super fun. We had a bunch of games set up and we had a lot of people that can do church for the first time, super fun. We also had some costume contest and gave out gifts for the winners.

Kind of crazy that my 2 transfers without a right have come to an end. Luckily, we are able to go out with a Bang and we had fun Halloween activity and ลอยกระทง.

Skip forward a little bit and we found out transfer news. Lo and behold, elder Wright was moving, and I was training, Yay. I'm also training at the same time as elder Giles from the West and elder runia. They were both in my m Tc district. And now we're all trainers at the same time. This also means that I got to see them at the mission home. Cause I haven't seen both of them at the same time in almost a year.

My son's name is elder Clark. He's from Texas and he graduated in the year 2025. I'm officially old which is so weird.  His tie is already pretty good. So we're gonna have a lot of fun this transfer. Oh I almost forgot. We also got sisters in the area, so now it's a 4 missionary area, which is way better. The work will hopefully go smoother.

We had their first Sunday yesterday. And then to finish off to start off. I guess my son's first P. Day my fan exploded.  I truly did end off this week with a Bang. Basically, outer Clark didn't have a adapter from the m Tc show.He also had his phone plugged into the charger. That was charging my fan and I guess it overloaded because at two am it exploded.  As you might have guessed, I was absolutely stunned. Probably the most surprised I've ever been in my life. I hopped out of bed and woke elder clark up. I barely grabbed the fan and pulled it off. The bed so that it wouldn't keep exploding and set it more of the bed on fire. While elder clark looks for a fire extinguisher that sadly, we didn't have.I grabbed a pot and after using the bum gun to put out the fan.I started making trips water on the bed. At this point the room was absolutely filled with smoke. It was so black that you couldn't even tell the light was on.I have a very deeper understanding for the midst of darkness that lehi described when describing the tree of life because I truly could not see the light at all. Now the bed had already burned quite a bit. But thankfully, the biggest worries were over. We've had quite an eventful day of cleaning, but thankfully, the senior missionaries came down and saved us by getting us mattresses and helping us clean.
Thank you for all of your prayers of protection for the missionaries cause I truly felt them last night🙏🙏🙏
I love all of you so much. And I am so grateful for everyone that reaches out to me. I'm sorry for anyone I couldn't respond to today but we were a little pressed on time.

I'll try to reach out next week but bye bye for now. 🫰🫰

DeathAndSadness

 Hey everyone,

Imma start off with news I just learned yesterday. The mother of the king of Thailand died Sunday morning. As you could guess I have been devastated, and as it appears so is the rest of the country cuz we will be having a 3 month mourning period. Which means the second biggest holiday here ลอย กระทง (Loy Gratong), with all of its pretty lights and boats will not be happening. So I guess I will have to wait til I come back on vacation to see it cuz the first year i was in the mtc.

Aside from that though I've had an amazing last 2 weeks
We've had
-Exchanges in Chaiyaphum
-District Pday
-Exchanges in Khon Kaen
-District Council In-Person
-Mexican Food
And finallly Baptisms!!!

Yea so basically 2 weeks ago we went to Chaiyaphum to do exchanges. I exchanged with my DL Elder Fowles, one of my old comps, he's a goat. We basically just had a full day of finding but we got to end off with a lil bit of sports finding which was chill cuz I lowk haven't gotta hoop in a sec.

Then next week we had District Pday. I didn't know what to do but i figured Pickleball would be fun so i looked it up in google maps and turns out we got pickleball in Khon Kaen. So we rented out a court and got to play with the District, soooo fun. But my skills arent quite what they used to be which is a lil sad 😢

Then Tuesday we did our second set of exchanges and this time I went with elder Redd. We got to teach some goated lessons and then we finished off the day at the resturaunt by our house with a bunch of members and friends from English Class.

Wednesday was also lit cuz we had in person district council. Soo fire cuz now the ZLs have to come as well so we had 8 elders. After council we went and did some service for a member too, ngl we were using some of the more interesting tools I've seen for yardwork like kitchen knives but they kinda worked.

Finish of wednesday night was lit, we did exchanges with the ZLs. I got the chance to find with Elder Huber and we talked to some good people. Def learned a lot of things abt finding just from the little 1 hour sesh we had. Then we met up with our new member นิว right after and got mexican food. Omyyy idk how i didnt think to search up mexican resturaunts in khon kaen before. Big city eassan is the life, I haven't had a burrito ij so long and it was so good.

Finaleeee was this Sunday. Sister ไก่ (Gai) and จ๊ะจ๋า (JaJa) got baptized this Sunday. They've been investigators for a while now and lately have shown a lot more interest. I'm so glad I got to have the chance to teach them and I'm excited to see them continue to progress as members. This is prolly my first investigators that I felt like we got to teach a decent amount before helping them be baptized which was wayy cool.

Love you all so much

Spiritual Thought this week is my thoughts from a talk called Unselfish Service

Its a talk from President Oaks where he discusses service in a few different aspects. He shares a story abt President hinckley that he shared from his mission that I liked. He talks about how he was talking to his dad about how he was frustrated and discouraged and thought he was wasting his time. His dad told him to "Forget himself and go to work". After that he recommitted to focusing on the people and prayed for the Lord to help lose himself in the work.

We all have shortcomings but its doesn't really matter how much success we have ourselves. We can't do this work alone and as long as we're focused on others we're whats needed.

Second Birthday🎉

 Hello,

Sorry I haven't emailed in a sec haha I just didn't find the time last week with zone pday. So far though this transfers been great.
Some highlights have been
-Zone Pday
-Zone Conference
-General Conference
-Miracles

Sooo we'll start off with the fun part, zone pday is always just lit. Got to play some ball finally, honestly not my best performance but I'll take any basketball i can get. Then we had chair soccer and interviews. We ended off the day with the finding activity and I finally got my splits with Elder Stauffer 🔥🔥 For Background we we're supposed to do splits a few conferences ago but I was at the hospital and we didn't make it back to do them. Finally got it and it was great. We we're able to teach a few different some mini lessons on the BOM. We ended the night with a crazy miracle where we met this guy named Ert who definitely needed some comfort. We walked by and started talking to him and he pulls out a BOM and then just starts crying. I guess he learned with the Missionaries like a year ago, his lifes kinda messed up right now so we were able to share some words of comfort for him.

Zone conference was firee this transfer too. ZL's clutched with some actual gas food. We had mac and cheese and chicken nuggets for lunch pday, and then had Mcdonalds for lunch conference but like actually a lot, like a burger, chicken sandwich, large fry, large drink, and ice cream. The actual trainings were like all amazing. We watched a cool video of one of the first members in Europe named Francesca or something. All the trainings had great invitations and I'm excited to try some of them this transfer. Had to do a musical number with the district tho which is not ideal🤮 I'm def not the most blessed when it comes to singing whether it be Thai or English.

Then Later on Saturday and Sunday I finally got the chance to listen to General Conference a week late haha. It was great tho and i loved a lot of the talks. Hoping some of our investigators had a good experience with conference.

Speaking of investigators, this week we got blessed by our friends that came to church. We had 13 pull up to conference at different points Sunday. Which 7 of them was their first day. 3 of them were people we talked to a month ago while finding at the walking street and at that time they said they weren't free but would go to church next month when they were. Well, it's next month and they showed up!! Thennn we had 4 other people come because 1 of them was visiting from Laos and wanted to go to church but not a Catholic one. Soo, she found our church in google and then had her friends take her. We'll see if we can stay in contact with them but so cool that they showed up.
Finally, after both sessions of general conference, not necessarily cuz of conference but one of our investigators comes up to me and says her and her daughter want to be baptized. They also want to be baptized before either of us move so we're going to be reviewing a lot with them these coming weeks since a lot of the stuff they learned was a little less than a year ago.

Overall its just crazy to me that we're coming up on 3 weeks of the transfer this Thursday. I still love Khon Kaen and I'm excited to help our investigators continue to progress.

I love you all a bunch of hope you have the best week 🫶
I'll try and make more of an effort to respond to emails this coming pday 🫡🫡

Oh yea and last thing I had my birthday 🥳🥳 We had cake after English Class and it was sooo อรอ่ย
Oh yea whoops, as with the title this is actually my second birthday as a missionary since i had one in Home MTC. As of my end date right now I will end with 3 birthdays as a missionary.

🌋Transfers🌀

 Whats up everyone,

Its truly a miracle. I have broken my streak of one transfer areas hahah. I'm glad I've had the chance to see so many areas but I really wanted to stay in Khon Kaen again so super happy with transfer news.

This week has been pretty amazing tho
Some main things from this week
-Mission Tour
-District

Conference
-Flooding
-Ths Squad
-Transfers
Alright so this last week we had mission tour with President Tai. He's the general authority that spoke right before President Nelson in the April General Conference. He had such an amazing training and it was such an amazing way to finish off the transfer. Right after that we also got to listen to him in District Conference which was fun to be able to listen to a speaker in English.

Speaking of District Conference, I got to see my old members from Sakon Nakhon. Soooo amazing, I forgot how much i love my greenie area and all the members there are just goats. Not to mention I also got to see the members from Buriram that I saw last week at District Conference too. We also were fortunate to have a few of our investigators come to Udon for the meeting too so overall it was a pretty firrree weekend

The return to Khon Kaen was great but amazing for our work cuz we got crazy rain. We had really bad flooding in Khon Kaen and biking around the streets was like biking through rivers. The some cars and trucks literally had like mini wakes coming off of them. It was honestly pretty fun but as far as our finding goes it didn't help us out a lot.

Then skip up to yesterday and we had an awesome work day. We went out and visited a member that has a hard time going to church cuz of health problems and her son who's not a member. Then we went with the inactive member, a ผู้สนใจ (investigator), and a great member to go visit 2 other ผู้สนใจ that are close by. Had an amazing lesson with them and we're hoping to see them at church this Sunday.

And the finale was transfers. This'll be my first time staying with a comp for more than 1 transfer so we'll see how it goes. I'm pretty excited to just our momentum going tho and keep helping our friends progress

Thats abt all for this week. I love you all so much.

🌊บัพติศมาของวงค์เดือน🔥

 Whats up everyone,

This week was great, วงค์เดือน is an investigator that has gone to church for a long time but had a few different challenges to overcome before he could be baptized. He came up to me and Elder Wright last week and he said he wanted to be baptized. Definitely a surprise and it was so great to see his service this last Sunday.

Sorry I haven't emailed for the last little bit, we've been really busy here but we've seen a lot of blessings.
This last week we've had
-District Pday
-In Person District Council
-Exchanges
-Sickness
-Buriram Surprise
-Baptism

District Pday last week we went to a fabric store and I got another fabric to make some more ties. Then we went on got Suki 😋😋
Somehow Elder Redd and Elder Lewis had both never had Suki Teenoi before which is some fire Shabu (kinda like Hot pot).

Next day we had In person district council and our DL interviewed our boi. Then we went and did some service for one of the sisters in our ward to make sure the greenie in our district will have some photos for his visa.

After that skip past Wednesday and we went to Chaiyaphum for exchanges thursday morning. Got there around 1:30 cuz some of the vans we're full in the morning. I got to exchange with Elder Redd for the first time. Kinda crazy cuz we we're together for my first transfer and never got to greenie exchange. Now he's a branch president already though and his Thai's cracked 🔥🔥

After returning from our exchanges Elder Wright felt pretty sick. We weren't able to do quite as much friday and saturday and after going to the hospital we basically just prepared for the Baptism Sunday and taught a lesson at the church.

I also had a super cool surprise Saturday. One of our members had said they had a surprise visit for us and wanted to get lunch with us Saturday. Elder Wright wasn't feeling great but luckily we were able to go cuz turns out it was some members from Buriram and one of the ผู้สนใจ we were teaching. Soo glad I got to see them again and they honestly surprised me cuz i had no clue who this surprise visit was gonna be. They also came to church and Sunday and Dream got to see a Baptism.

And THENNNN วงค์เดือน got baptized. Super cool to see him get baptized after such a long time. He was a little scruffed up from an accident that happened the day before but thankfully he was still able to baptized.

Today we went to a waterfall for Pday and gave some Ice cream to some kids at a school. Overall pretty cool waterfall and the travel was chill.

🚴‍♀️🚘💥

Oh goly! When I saw the subject of your email my gut dropped. I felt an immense amount of fear coming over me. Then I read the first line only for it to confirm my worst fears. That mama bear in my wanted to buy the next ticket out to Thailand to comfort you!!!

Well I guess some would say this is karma since you too hit a pedestrian while you were driving in highschool. If you have any bad feelings for the monster that tried to take you out my council to you would be to imagine the feelings the poor man you hit with your car had for you all those years ago. You truly have been on both sides of this situation and it gives you a unique and humble perspective! Remember Joseph's time in liberty jail. We can learn through this story that god does NOT leave us in our hardships. He's always there you may just need to call on him.

I send this message with an immense amount of love for you and a hope that you can remember the sanctity of your calling.

You are a modern day Paul in Thailand!!!❤️❤️❤️🫶

ขอโทษนะะะ

Yea sorry i dont really gotta lot of time today but i wrote an email home for my ward so im just gonna use that as my weekly email today too. Love you all though and I'm so grateful for all the people that send me emails and biz u guys uplift my week a bunch

Hello brothers and sisters,

I've been asked to share some of the experiences/blessing I've received during my mission. I may have taken a couple of weeks but I finally remembered to send this home. I think it was meant to be though because I want to share about a spiritual experience that happened yesterday and other blessings I've received from the mission. This is just one small experience I've had and the mission has really helped me see the ways God blesses us in tiny bits every day.
For anyone on my email list, you might have noticed I am currently speedrunning my way to having 10+ areas by the time I finish. If you look at my last 4 transfers, including this one, I have been in a different area all for 4 transfers. So I guess one thing I've learned is packing up my bags on short notice 🫩
In my newest area though we had a really cool little miracle. We were at the church at around 7 pm Sunday night because some members took us to give the sacrament and visit some homebounds. We had just ate dinner at the church and were doing our weekly planning after everyone left but the ward clerk. We have around 20-25 green dots so I was asking questions about them when I hit one named มิก (Meek) that my new comp Elder Wright didn't recognize. They had only been taught once in person about 3 maybe 4 weeks ago and the follow up lesson hadn't been reported from 2 weeks ago. They only had a facebook and this is the point where if we can't contact through facebook we would have to drop them. After requesting to be friends with them I set my phone down and went to bathroom real quick. When I got out Elder Wright and the clerk were talking to a girl that had come to the church. She said that Elder Olson (The elder before her) had talked about how we have a piano at the church and maybe she could learn. We asked her if she had facebook and what her name was and she's like "My names มิก (Meek)". After I recovered from being absolutely shocked I grabbed my phone and I showed her that I had quite literally just requested to be a friend in Facebook and that it was such a blessing that she came by. We we're able to give her a BOM and she said she'd come back next week at 9 a.m.when there's people at the church.
She may not be an instant Baptism but God truly does work in mysterious ways. The fact that she just happened to be in the area and stop by the church, after 2 weeks of not going, on possibly one of the only Sundays when we would be at the church. Andddd when I had literally just been wondering who her dot was and added her on Facebook. I don't know what God's plan is for her but I hope that she'll have a great experience at church.
As far as the blessings I received from my mission so far, it is far and away the great people, members, and ผู้สนใจ (poo-son-jye)/ investigators that I've been able to meet. The Thai people show so much love. My love for otbers has also greatly increased as I have served these past few months. I hope the ward is doing well and I invite you all to try and notice the small things God helps us with everyday or the opportunites we have to be that small gift for someone else.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

💥1 and Done (Part 2)💥

 Whats up everyone,

This week was transfers and you'll never guess. I'm actually moving AGAIN. We'll see how long I keep this up but I'm on quite a pace right now. I'm on transfer number 7 of my mission and going into my 5th area.

Buriram truly has been a special place and I was honestly not expecting such a quick move but hopefully I was able to fulfill the things I was needed for here. The members accepted me so quickly and are such a great example for serving and loving others. I didn't quite get a chance to watch a soccer game here but I'll definitely be coming back One day.

This last week has been pretty special in general. My DL Elder Guanuna moved to his area a week early so we were in a trio with my follow up trainer Elder Tamayao. We split our workdays between Surin and Buriram and our biking situation has been pretty interesting since in Buriram we only had one bike so we had to walk everywhere. And then in Surin I was whipping the legendary Magnum Tiger so we were able to get around a lil bit easier.

This week overall has been a solid work week though and I know the Elders in Buriram next transfer will be killing it🔥🔥

My new Area I'll be moving to is called Khon Khen, it is like THE big city in the Eassan. I've heard some pretty good things so I'm excited for all the new things I get to see. I'll be a lil bit farther from the border so I won't be evacuated anytime soon but I also prolly won't be able to practice my Khmer😢😢
It'll be alright tho haha, I still need to work on my normal Thai more.

Thats about it though. I am so grateful for all of my friends and family. I'm sorry if I don't the chance to respond to some of you today but I'm lil bit shorter on time because all of my traveling again, but I appreciate everyone who reaches out to me and brightens my week🙏 Hope you all have an amazing week.

💀BicycleDown😭

 Hey everyone,

Quite an interesting Sunday today. We had a great investigator come to church and got to help one of our members finish up the last few things on his mission papers. Sadly tho, when we got ready to go to our dinner appointment Elder Dollar's crappy bike finally fell apart and the chain broke. We attempted a genius idea where i hold on to a member while he drives his motorbike but then the freakin back tire completely fell apart too so then we were just screwed. Should be getting a new bike for him this week I hope tho 🙏🙏🙏

This weeks been pretty chill.  The other elders went back Tuesday and then we had in person district council Wednesday, so we went right back to and saw them. super fun and we also had a service opportunity. We got to go to a refugee camp in Surin and make some food and some other stuff and basically just talk with people. I feel like it's the main thing that we were doing.

Thursday we had a good lesson with one of our investigators. We got to talk about a lot a lot of different principles. So that was really cool. Cause it's been a while since we got to teach someone that was interested. Its actually pretty funny cuz the reason thwy wanted to start learning was because of magic mushroom that lets u see god or something but you know thats chill.

Saturday was a really cool day. Because we met a super good find in a market that he was willing to just come to the church with us and see it just kind of out of nowhere. We had an online teaching appointment. And it was like sure we have an online appointment so you can come, then our online appointment fell through but we gotta teach him instead so pretty cool miracles.
We also had elder clark who recently just finished come visit saturday night with his family and i found out his dads first cousin is Joel Clark. Such a small world that i gotta meet Richie's dad's first cousin. So yea special shoutout to Richie and his fam. Love you guys

Then the events i already talked about happened sunday haha.
Today we went to a silk market in surin. Pretty cool. Silk making is such a ridiculous process but they are pretty. Also got some freakin firrreee burgers for lunch. Actually was like a good burger from america

💥My War🧨

Que the frickin Attack on titan intro with the explosions. If you know you know.

Basically this last week how a mini war started with Thailand and Cambodia. It started like last Thursday and since then. 2 areas of my mission have been evacuated and if it gets any worse. My area will be evacuated next. It's kind of crazy. Thailand says that Cambodia started it. And Thailand says that Cambodia started it, but they both been firing each other the past week. We had a bunch of refugees flee from the border. But yeah, there was a peace meeting today and they agreed to a i'm conditional ceasefire, so as long as things keep getting better as they seem now we should be chill.

Other than that, my weeks been pretty mellow. Tuesday we had english class and we had a bunch of people pull up out of dollar made pizza. So that was super fun. We're already getting to the end of July which is crazy. I feel like I just got to this area and that was at the beginning of july so we're already gonna be coming up when the end of transfers here soon in about two weeks which is wild.

But as of right now, nothing too crazy planned for this week. We have the 2 outers from Surin at our apartment. Which is super chill? Might be doing some exchanges this week if they're not gonna be heading back soon.

But yeah, aside from that, no crazy progressing investigators. We did have a lot of inactive members.Come to church this, so that was true. We did have a lot of inactive members come to church this Sunday though. So that was chill. .We did get the steak presidency here, which might have made a part of the difference, but we'll take that for sure.

Almost forgot. We also went to a school this last week which was really fun. I think that was Wednesday morning. We went and helped out with their English class outer. Dollar did some interviews with some students in English, and I helped a student that is going to be presenting a speech at a competition this week. So super glad we had the opportunity to go help them for about an hour, which was great.

But yeah, sorry. I don't really have much time. To write more, it's really late and I'm so grateful for all the emails you guys send me. I love hearing about how your week's go or any questions you have sorry if I don't respond this week. We're just gonna shower on time today, but I will make sure respond to all of you next week. And I love you all.

Call, call, call

 Whats up,

I'm in Buriram now. Right now, the work's great, we've got a lot of people to call so it's kind of like my area in Bangkok, but we're getting through them. Some highlights from these last 2 weeks were
-Exchanges
-Buriram Youth
-Sunday
-Zone Conference
- Pie
Alright already blessed in my first few weeks here to do exchanges, and I gotta do them with Elder Tamayao. For anyone that's read my emails all the way through he was my follow up trainer. We did exchanges in Buriram and it was fun to go around with him again when i speak a lil bit better.

Next thing, the youth here are freakin FIRE🔥🔥🔥. I hesitate to even call them youth cuz they're all 20+ but they are so great. They make us dinner Sunday nights and a few other nights a week. They even went finding with us my first Saturday night at this big market called the Walking Street. They're always down to help us teach and we basically have help from them at all times so its pretty littt.

Our last Sunday was great. My first sunday here was good. We helped teach the primary and there was one mom with her daughter that hadn't come to church before. We had 2 other kids but, other than that though we didn't really many people. Then this week, we didn't have a ton, buttttt a Referral pulled up to church along with a Sister of a new member that's interested in learning so it was a pretty good Sunday for us.

Yea I had zone conference already. We had to leave Sunday afternoon and we didn't get back til Wednesday morning because there were no buses that went to Buriram so we took the bus and stayed at the Surin house. Zone conference itself was soo fun tho, gotta play a bunch of basketball and do splits with Elder Tripoli for the finding activity. Thennn I got my ties, woooo. First batch finally made so its really nice to have those. Traded some already so my tie collection finally growing.

Alright last little story. Yesterday we were finding and we were in this neighborhood that had a bunch of white people for some reason but they were not very interested but we came across this one house where this lady was making food so I asked her if we could help her make food because I'm not good at making Thai food and she said she was making white people food.  And she was making chicken pot pies, but with steak!!! and other meats in them and she's got like an industrial oven in her house and she makes a bunch of them and she wasn't super interested in the gospel, but she gave us gas steak mushroom pot pies. They were so good and we're definitely gonna have to find where she sends them because she makes them for stores in our city and in some other cities but they were so good.

Thats the major events from my first week in Buriram. I'm sending this in the middle of the week cuz we got a halfpday cuz we had zone conference.
Love you all so much and I love hearing from. Sometimes don't have time to respond but l love hearing from u all.

❗️1 and Done❗️

 Whats up

This one might be a little shorter because I've been so busy. Basically we get transfer news Wednesday morning and Boom, I'm moving after 1 transfer in Kalasin. I'm at the bus station on my way to Buriram when I'm writing this. Sooo needless to say, I was pretty surprised when i get myself out of bed ready to see who my new comp is and my thing isn't in Kalasin.

Overall we've had a pretty good last week though. We we're able to find 5 friends to try visiting last week and we had 2 this last monday so hopefully they'll see some progress with them.
I'm pretty fortunate this last week and I got shabu like 3 times. One day we did service at a school in the morning and helped teach English and then the Principal took us to shabu for dinner. Her family was nice and her sons super interested in coming to English Class.
This Sunday was hype! Unfortunately we didn't see a bunch of our friends at church but one of our members brothers came and wanted to learn so that'll be a great member referral for them. Thennn Brother Non opened his mission call and he's going to Serra Leone, Africa (hopefully i spelled that right) for his mission. It's crazyyy. He will be speaking the English Language.
My last day in Kalasin was filled with quick goodbyes to members and friends. Definitely was not expecting to say goodbye so soon, I really loved Kalasin and its a special place. I'm grateful that I at least got the chance to serve one transfer there 🙏
Kalasin 2 was also actually closed. So Elder Campbell and Elder Vang are comps now and me and Elder Jones are out. Elder Jones is going to Yasothorn. The nice thing is tho I'll still probably see them at zone conference.

Thats basically been my transfers. Just one thing to the next back to back since i got transfer news. I guess I'm getting a lil bit better at packing up tho

MAHA SARAKHAM

 Hello everyone,

My week has been pretty chill.
Basically we had a lotta service this week and I gotta do exchanges in Maha Sarakham. (For perspective on Maha Sarakham, both my trainer and follow up trainer came to Sakon Nakhon from Maha and talked about it a bunch so I've been waiting to see it)

Alright, Tuesday was In-Person District council so we went to Maha. It was super fun to be with the whole district in person. Then after that we had a district service project where we took down some grass and trees for a member on their property. After that all we had time for when we got back was English Class.
Thursday was the Exchange back to Maha. Sooo fun, I gotta exchange with Elder Elliot who's actually just an absolutely goated Elder. We had a bunch of lessons and got to teach a lot of different visits with members and investigators. Then we ended off for some pizza for dinner with a member.

Thennn, Friday we went and helped the other elder's new members with some service. We took out a lot of weeds and plants in their yard so they can plant some more trees. Then we had to hurry back for game night.
Sunday was a good day, we didn't get many friends at church but we did get to teach one of our kid investigators. Then the Taylors made some absolutely delicious brownie Earthquake cookies that i gotts get the recipe for. They were freakin scrumptous, its been so long since I've had cookies like that.
And todayyyy, we had a pretty chill pday. We did some fishing and some DIY pickleball in the morning with the senior missionaries. Pretty lit I will say.

It is honestly so crazy how fast this transfer has gone by. We'll have to lock in our finding for this last week and see if we can up our friends at church 🥰🥰

Love you all a bunch

Halfway🏃‍♂️💨

 Hello Everyone,

"Days Never Finished" If you guys know what I mean. We've been out here working and I guess somehow that made transfer go by faster because were like techbically over halfway right now I think.
This hasn't been the most exciting week, but we've had a lot of service which has been good and I love doing service out here in Thailand so can't really complain.

Quick summary of the week Tuesday. So we had zone conference and then rushed back to go to english class, which was great.

Wednesday was a really good day for us. So I'll go in to more explanation on Wednesday. Start off the day by visiting two members that work at a school cafeteria. They set us up with free lunch (Theyre soooo nice) and then gave us a new investigator too. We like just finished eating and then the member was like "Theres someone who wants to learn with you" Literally just feeding us and setting us up with friends. Then, We went to go visit one of our finds from last week. This old lady that lives by herself and she was gone. So we visited her neighbors and they were great. They're maybe not the most interested in the gospel, but they said we could stop by again when we come to visit her.  And they were interested in english class and were willing to take our pamphlets and then after that, we kept finding through that same neighborhood and we met this other family and started talking to them, and they invited us to come eat with them. And so we didn't really have anything planned for dinner, so we just went and ate with them as well and they were super great. They super interested in english class as well said they'll be coming this week.  They were also willing to learn about our religion too. So we'll see if that comes of anything. And then after that, as we're just biking after this, just biking on this random street, this never happens. This random guy bikes up next to me and I start talking to him and he's super interested in like having us come visit and all of our different activities and stuff I was telling him about of him. So we make a lil pit stop and get his information and then we go to go visit our member who works at a grocery store and as we're on our way to go visit her.  Another person says elders and I stopped cause. I'm like what who knows the elders. And this person from I guess a decent time ago. Just moved back to Kalasin and they met with elders before and have gone to church. But they haven't seen the others again since they've been out of Kalasin. But this is like their first week back. So hopefully we'll be. Able to get him to church again and?  Meet with him again. So basically, just Wednesday was just following blessings for finding cause. That is, by far the most success we've had out of any day in the transfer so far. Really great day, even if a lot of these people don't pan out I was really grateful to see a lil more success then usual.
Thursday we did some service and cut down some trees. That was the most interesting thing we did.
Friday my companion was sick so we were in the house. Most of the day, I was doing some calling and that was about it. We couldn't really go out and work because he was bedridden.
Saturday. We took a trek out to visit one of our finds from Wednesday. And he's got like 60 plus guitars. So that was cool. Gotta talk to him about a little bit of religion too. So hopefully, after a little lesson we gave him, he'll be more willing to try coming to church possibly.
And then today P Day, I guess we had Sunday too Sunday. The other 2 elders had 2 baptisms. So that was really cool. Cool to see that, but not our investigators. So not as exciting for us personally. Today was a very chill p Day we really didn't do anything. We went to this cafe. It's literally out in the middle of nowhere. But it's really cool and I'll put some photos.

That's about it for my week. Sorry for the more boring email. But it's more of an average week.
🔥Spiritual Thought🔥
Helaman 5:8
8 And now my sons, behold I have somewhat more to desire of you, which desire is, that ye may not do these things that ye may boast, but that ye may do these things to lay up for yourselves a treasure in heaven, yea, which is eternal, and which fadeth not away; yea, that ye may have that precious gift of eternal life, which we have reason to suppose hath been given to our fathers
Love you all. Stay Humble🥰

🔥Dinosaur🦕

What's up yall,

Sorry for the delay. I've been super busy the past few P-days. And I haven't got a chance to send out an email. Yea I didn't mean to wait for 2 P days, but I just didn't get the chance to write. Kalasin is soooo lit though. So I'm gonna try and summarize these past few weeks. We got zone conference this week so thats pretty neat. Super excited, we get to combine with Ubon too so we'll have a lot of fun.

Alright, first thing you need to know about Kalasin is that there's a dinosaur park. Got these massive dinosaur statues and they have a bunch of different parks too. So definitely have to check them all out. I'll get a picture of me riding a dinosaur one of these days when I get the chance. But super hype
Right next thing is the members here are goaded. Super Great branch President and we got a lot of members support for the missionary work. So it helps out a lot. Our area doesn't have a lot of investigators, so we're definitely gonna be doing a lot of finding this transfer.
I'll also go through summarize the past 2 P days that I missed out on talking about. The first thing I should mention, we have bikes in this area which is super nice. So it's great to be able to bike around again. But 1st P Day we went to Roy at super cool place. I gotta see elder Saunders again. From my first area which is hype and they have a massive tower there. It was so cool but also so sad. Because we couldn't go up it. They said that it was raining too hard or rain too hard the night before, so we weren't allowed to go up the tower.
I've heard its got a good view tho and they have a cool like window thingy you could stand on and there's no other tall building anywhere around here. I don't know why they built just this massive tower there but its lit. so that was 1st day.

Alright and the next p day was also super exciting. A member invited us over to make Pork waterfall and sticky rice mango so good. It was so good and then after that, we gotta head back to the house. Place some card games with the other elders. And then we went and played badminton . So overall, Just a great P Day, but hopefully the rest of them will turn out equally as fun. I should also mention. We got to join a member's family for family. Hope meeting and they had some really good dinner for us. So that was also amazing.
Alright, and then, for this last week before his own conference, we've been on the finding grind so I'll have to keep that up trying getting a little bit more. The members are super great here. Though super helpful, it's also crazy. My branch President is so good at ping. Pong finally met a Thai person that is really good at ping pong. So super fun to play with him and we.  Also.
Have a game tonight which is also amazAlright, and then, for this last week before his own conference, we've been on the finding grind so I'll have to keep that up trying getting a little bit more. We gotta go around to bunch of finding it was great.

If you stayed to the end you're a G. I'll try and keep up on writing my emails but this place is great. I love from hearing from all of you and I'll try my best to respond. love you all

Off To กาฬสินธุ์ (Kalasin)

 Hey everyone,

Not gonna lie, this last weeks been extremely busy. This last week has been transfer week and its been pretty crazy. Me and elder fowles have been going to work trying to help some our investigators progress and I think this last week was great.
It being transfer week, I'll start off with the exciting news, bumpbanaba, I Am MOVING!!
I'm writing this email as I'm taking a bus back out to the Eassan. We got the news Wednesday morning at 6:30, exciting right? To be honest I was kinda thinking I could be doing 3 in Bangkapi and I honestly thought that was gonna be chill. But I'm def okay to be going back out to the Eassan.
The place that I'm moving to is a place called Kalasin. It's actually my old comps Elder fowles greenie area. Pretty chill. I will also be senior comp now. Thankfully its just one of my น้องไทย or just one of the missionaries 1 transfer below me. Haha we might still have to figure some stuff out but im pretty comfortable with it.
This transfer was shorter with only 5 weeks, but me and elder fowles were fortunate enough to have a lot of lil miracles. We were able to see a lot more of our successes from calling and making appointments. To start the transfer we were around a lil more than 140 yellow dots or people that said they were interested in something with the gospel. By this last week we've got it down to under 30
Needless to say we had a lot of people to go through and see who was truly interested or just signed up on a whim. From those we had to 2 great investigators พี่ปัน(P Ban) and พี่โต๊ (P Doe). We put them both on date this last week and I really hope they'll be able to follow through this next month. Not to mention our English class has been picking up speed and we had another good turnout my final Tuesday.
Bangkapi has been such a great area and I'm sad to leave for sure. I loved our church and building and amazing members but I'm excited to go see another area and get back on the bike.

We did have an extremely sad thing happen this last week tho. Theres around 7 new members in Sakon Nakhon and a decent few of them are older ladies. We had a appointment scheduled with one of our new members Sister Yai (ยาย) at 3pm. Usually she calls beforehand to confirm our appointment but we didn't receive anything that morning. We called her around 12ish but she didnt respond. We didn't think too much of it tho and planned to go visit her at our original time 3 pm. Sadly though, when we pulled up to her apartments we were informed that she had passed away the day before. I wasn't quite sure if they were messing with us but they confirmed her floor and room and it was hers. Me and elder Fowles were truly stunned because thats not necessarily something we cover in the missionary 101 training. Sister Yai was around 73 years old. Older people really do have a limited amount of time tho. We called our bishop and let him know tho but we werent really able to help in any other way. We later learned that her relatives from a different province held a funeral there Sunday. We weren't able to go because it was too far. Please pray for our Sister Yai and her relatives this week.

This was extremely sad as well because we finally had our ward temple trip this last Saturday. We were thankful to have 2 of our new members participate in Baptisms though, it being the first time for Sister Yada.

Fast Forward to Yesterday. Lots of goodbyes and visits to members before i head out. I had to have everything packed last night because we had a plan already to go play pickleball with our Senior Missionaries at 9 a.m. Luckily I got my stuff away in time that we got to go play this morning and Omyyyy yeah I miss pickleball. Its sooo fun. The hour we had absolutrly flew by. This is prolly the last chance in a long time to play pickleball. Just maybe tho I'll get to play some pickleball or maybe Tennis in my new area 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Thats the most exciting stuff from our Pday.

I love all of you and I hope your doing well. Sorry this one was a lil long but lowk I coulda packed even more stuff from my last week but these were def the major things.

And yes I also will be sharing a scripture this week. Surprisingly enough I love my personal study and learn a lot.

This week one I liked was from Elder Belleza's finishing Devotional
Alma 17:23
23 And Ammon said unto him: Yea, I desire to dwell among this people for a time; yea, and perhaps until the day I die

Honestly it is pretty crazy that Ammon had the mentality like that. I love Thailand but until the day that I die is a longggg freakin time.
Final Shoutout to My POPS, best Dad Ever แน่นอนๆๆๆๆๆ
He turned 49 so he'll be old in a lil bit
Thats about it, here some final photos
