Yea sorry i dont really gotta lot of time today but i wrote an email home for my ward so im just gonna use that as my weekly email today too. Love you all though and I'm so grateful for all the people that send me emails and biz u guys uplift my week a bunch
Hello brothers and sisters,
I've been asked to share some of the experiences/blessing I've received during my mission. I may have taken a couple of weeks but I finally remembered to send this home. I think it was meant to be though because I want to share about a spiritual experience that happened yesterday and other blessings I've received from the mission. This is just one small experience I've had and the mission has really helped me see the ways God blesses us in tiny bits every day.
For anyone on my email list, you might have noticed I am currently speedrunning my way to having 10+ areas by the time I finish. If you look at my last 4 transfers, including this one, I have been in a different area all for 4 transfers. So I guess one thing I've learned is packing up my bags on short notice
In my newest area though we had a really cool little miracle. We were at the church at around 7 pm Sunday night because some members took us to give the sacrament and visit some homebounds. We had just ate dinner at the church and were doing our weekly planning after everyone left but the ward clerk. We have around 20-25 green dots so I was asking questions about them when I hit one named มิก (Meek) that my new comp Elder Wright didn't recognize. They had only been taught once in person about 3 maybe 4 weeks ago and the follow up lesson hadn't been reported from 2 weeks ago. They only had a facebook and this is the point where if we can't contact through facebook we would have to drop them. After requesting to be friends with them I set my phone down and went to bathroom real quick. When I got out Elder Wright and the clerk were talking to a girl that had come to the church. She said that Elder Olson (The elder before her) had talked about how we have a piano at the church and maybe she could learn. We asked her if she had facebook and what her name was and she's like "My names มิก (Meek)". After I recovered from being absolutely shocked I grabbed my phone and I showed her that I had quite literally just requested to be a friend in Facebook and that it was such a blessing that she came by. We we're able to give her a BOM and she said she'd come back next week at 9 a.m.when there's people at the church.
She may not be an instant Baptism but God truly does work in mysterious ways. The fact that she just happened to be in the area and stop by the church, after 2 weeks of not going, on possibly one of the only Sundays when we would be at the church. Andddd when I had literally just been wondering who her dot was and added her on Facebook. I don't know what God's plan is for her but I hope that she'll have a great experience at church.
As far as the blessings I received from my mission so far, it is far and away the great people, members, and ผู้สนใจ (poo-son-jye)/ investigators that I've been able to meet. The Thai people show so much love. My love for otbers has also greatly increased as I have served these past few months. I hope the ward is doing well and I invite you all to try and notice the small things God helps us with everyday or the opportunites we have to be that small gift for someone else.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
Elder Hansen
Alrightty there ya go
