Hey everyone,
Hope you all had an amazing week. I know your all dying to hear about my amazing adventures in thailand.
I'm sending out my email today because we changed our pday to friday to go to the temple with the zone. Wooooo
Nothing too exciting really happened last week. We had a lot of calls And we sent out 15 book of mormons to different people through the mail. So that was great. We did that last Thursday and then this week, we sent out 7 more book of mormons in the mail so hopefully it will be able to follow-up with them in a week or 2 and see if they've had a chance to read it if they have any questions. hopefully we can get a few meetings and in. Last Saturday we had a songkran activity but it wasn't really. A songkran activity cause we didn't have water fighting or anything, but we had food and we had a investigator show up so that's always good and we also taught her after her name's p beer. She was super interested and wanted to be baptized as soon as possible so we'll see if we can make that happen in the next week or 2 if she doesnt have too much work.
I've got to listen to some conference. That's been great. We're gonna be listening to it today and tomorrow. Cause that's when it gets translated into Thai. So hopefully this Sunday I'll be able to get some take away from the thai sessions cuz. My thais been getting a lot better but I don't know if it's that good yet so we'll see.
This week's gonna grind a crazy thing that happened this week is they have a draft here in Thailand and of our investigators who usually comes to church every week and comes to our activities in stuff. He's around 21, and that's when they have to do the draft. So this Wednesday he was going into the draft and it's basically a fifty-fifty either. He draws red, which means he doesn't have to be a soldier or he draws black, which means he has to be a soldier for 2 years, and then we're never gonna see him again or teach him. At least I won't, so that was a little scary. But he got red. Yeahhhh. we sent him off Monday and ate with him and I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to see him again. Cause he's going back to his Hometown to do the draft. But thank goodness we still get to the teach and meet with him so that will be great.
And finally today. Today we got to go to asoke which is just where the temple is and we gotta see our zone which was super cool. We did an endowment session, which was also super good. Because this is a 7 week transfer I wasn't sure what the greenies from the M Tc were gonna do. Because they are just like here a week early. But they basically are just gonna have temporary companions for a week and watch conference and play song Khan, so it sounds like it's gonna be sick for them. But we gotta meet them today at the temple. We have 3 sisters and a Filipino elder so super cool. Yeah, greenies are always great.
Thats about it for my week. We've been grinding out here for like 6 weeks straight now so I'm honestly just excited to have songkran, transfers, and conference.
I don't have necessarily a spiritual thought this week, butttt i did finish Jesus the Christ this week. Its a great book that gives a very in depth analysis and breakdown of Jesus's life and miracles when he was on the Earth. Definitely worth the read if you really want to understand his life more and the context behind a lot of things that were going on during his teachings
Very cool. I'm just gonna leave the First paragraph to get you guys hooked 🥰
It is a matter of history that, at or near the beginning of what has since come to be known as the Christian era, the Man Jesus, surnamed the Christ, was born in Bethlehem of Judea. The principal data as to his birth, life, and death are so well attested as to be reasonably indisputable; they are facts of record and are accepted as essentially authentic by the civilized world at large. True, there are diversities of deduction based on alleged discrepancies in the records of the past as to circumstantial details; but such differences are strictly minor importance, for none of them nor all taken together cast a shadow of rational doubt upon the historicity earthly existence of the Man known in literature as Jesus of Nazareth.
Oh also, last thing. Forgot to say we also got the chance to donate blood this week. Shoutout to บราเดอร์ต้อง for making it happen. Super good to be able to do somw service this week and eat some gas food.
