5k fun

Sorry Britt, I had to steal your pictures, b/c silly me I never saved the ones that were taken on my phone. My friends and I ran in the Suwanee days 5k race. It was way fun, but it totally whipped my butt. I have been actually working out for the last month to be ready for this race. I have been pretty proud of myself because I have been getting up about six in the morning and exercising. At least 5 times in the week. This is not normal for me. I don't think I have ever done this in my lifetime. I felt pretty prepared about running this race, I figured that adrenaline would also kick in and it would be a smooth race. HAH! not. I was so dying. It didn't help that the race had some hills in it as well. I do not do well with hills. They are not my friend. I had a goal to finish in 30 min. or less. I finished (mind you that is a positive thing, many times I thought about jumping ship) the race in 33min. and 10sec. Definitely not the best time in the world, but hey not bad after just having a baby, and nearing the big 35. We are also talking about doing another race in October. Hopefully I can improve my time. So if I post about the next race, I guess you will know if I did better. If I don't post about it, you can probably assume I did worse than this time. It is all good, I really don't care about my time, I just enjoy the fact that I am exercising, and I am able to run a few races with some friends.

I thought about jumping ship a few times too but doesn't it feel awesome once it's all over? We will have to map out the next course and give it a try before the next race so we know what we are up against as far as hills (and what not). The hills in Georgia can be brutal!

he is quite talented...what an interesting talent though. That's a little like his dad and his phone book talent. :)

Also, just wanted to let you know, I just made my blog private. I have been getting way too many hits and I've got me an Australian stocker who gets on my site 4 times a day and looks at our pictures...a little too freaky for me so it was time to make a change!

Anyway, I would love for you to keep stopping by but you will have to sign in first. It should pull up to a sign-in page now.

Hey Beckers, remember when we used to go jogging around your place in South Jordan in the afternoons!? And remember when I lost my contact lens b/c I took it out in the wind... what a retard. :) Anyway, good job. We must be getting old. My knee won't allow me to jog like I used to, unfortunately. Ciao bella!
