Animal fun

This weekend we went to the Yellow River game ranch with some of our close friends the Garfields. This was a first time experience for our family. We had a lot of fun. For those of you who do not know what this place is, let me explain. This place is kind of like a zoo, but they have animals you can pett, feed, and admire. They had deer, bunnies, buffalo, bears, squirrals, goats, sheep, ducks, and much more. The kids thought it was great. It was fun to be right up next to all the animals. Here are some pictures of all the fun.

This is Mckayla feeding a baby fawn!

These bears were fun to see up close. They would all just sit around waiting to be fed by all the on lookers. While we were feeding them, some of them got into a little fight over the food.

This deer scared me to death. He came up behind me and started sniffing my arm. I had a hole stash of food on top of the stroller, and he came for a little snack. It was amazing to see some of these animals had no fear. We couldn't get rid of this deer. The kids had fun petting him and seeing him up close.

This squirral was quite comical. He would run ahead of us and the play like he was road kill or something. When we would throw him a peanut he would jump up and eat it. The squirral was cool, because you would throw him a peanut and he would tear open the shell and then eat up the nut. It was just fun watching him eat it.
This was a pot belly pig, and he was enormous. We were lucky to have a family shot with him. Our friends tried to get a family photo after us, and he started grunting and making all sorts of noises and then stood up as if he was not happy. We all just moved away quickly. Maybe he wasn't happy that he got his picture taken.

Check out this duck! He looked like he had a big pom pom stuck to his head. Talk about a bad hair day. I can relate.

I had to take this shot, the black sheep amongst all the white sheep!

Isn't this a great shot!! He is my little sweetheart. He was in the stroller for most of the afternoon, and was happy and content for the day.

Hey! I went there when I went to visit Trisha a few years ago. It was FUN! That is kind of ironic!
